San Stefano Plaza Multifunctional Complex won an award for “Innovative Complex Utilizing High-End Technologies” in the prestigious competition “House of the Year 2016” organized by Ideal Home Magazine.
For the first time in the 21-year history of the competition, which traditionally nominates and awards best architects and designers, a prize has been bestowed to an entire building. “This building beautifies Sofia, thank you,” said Mrs. Venelina Gocheva, President of Media Group Bulgaria and Publisher of Ideal Home Magazine. She handed the awards to M.Eng. Nikolay Karayanev, Executive Director of San Stefano Property Development EAD and to M.Eng. Stefan Vankov, Chief Engineer of Geostroy AD – the contractor of the project.
San Stefano Plaza Multifunctional Complex is the first residential complex in Bulgaria which is being certified according to the prestigious international standard BREEAM 2013. San Stefano Plaza received a special recognition at “House of the Year 2016” for implementing high-end technologies and responsible attitude towards the surrounding urban environment during its construction. All sections of the multifunctional complex are designed to the highest quality and detail ensuring maximum balance between healthy environment, aesthetic beauty and comfort to the people who live, work or visit it. Optimum high-tech solutions are used to provide excellent lighting, air conditioning, external sound insulation, and wireless monitoring over a wide range of building technical services.
The 21st award ceremony, organized by Ideal Home Magazine and 24 Hours Newspaper, took place after a discussion about the home of the future in which Mrs Yordanka Fandakova, Mayor of Sofia and Arch. Zdravko Zdravkov, Chief Architect of Sofia took an active part.
