San Stefano Plaza Multifunctional Complex was awarded in the category “Multifunctional Buildings” of the National Contest “Building of the Year 2016”. The Investor of the project is San Stefano Property Development EAD, the General Contractor is Geostroy AD and the Designer is San Stefano Associated Architects.
M.Eng. Nikolay Karayanev, Executive Director of San Stefano Property Development EAD, thanked everyone who had contributed to the completion of this high-tech and sustainable building at a gala awards ceremony on 13 December 2016 in Sofia. He added that he hoped San Stefano Plaza Multifunctional Complex would be the first residential complex certified according to BREEAM-2013 standard for sustainability assessment of buildings. “Our ambition is to make San Stefano Plaza a centre for public life”, said M.Eng. Karayanev.
The National Contest “Building of the Year” is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works with the support of industry organizations in the areas of design and construction. It is the most prestigious event in the sphere of investment projects, construction and architecture, which by tradition distinguishes the best achievements for the past year. In the 2016 edition of the contest, 69 buildings participated in 10 different categories. 27 projects were singled out for excellence and awarded this year.
